 Students

By October 2006, the enrollment includes 118 postgraduates of six classes and 1071 undergraduates of 32 classes (787sudents in 27 classes of English majors and 284 students in 10 classes of Japanese majors). 80% of the enrollment is from Zhejiang province and 20% from other provinces. All freshmen, studying either arts or science in high school, belong to the first-class enrollment. They all applied for the admission of Ningbo University as their first choice. The employment rate of graduates of the Faculty was 96.06% in 2005and 95.9% in 2006, which is the highest among 18 faculties and colleges of Ningbo University. 

Faculty and Staff

By October 2006, the Faculty has 165 full-time faculty teachers and staff, including 146 teachers and 19 administrative staff and lab workers. 84% of the faculty teachers hold a master degree or a doctoral degree. There are 81 teachers in English and Japanese departments, 95% of whom hold a master degree or a doctoral degree. There are 6 doctors, 8 professors, 39 associate professors in the Faculty. 78 teachers have experiences of studying abroad. Each year 6 to 7 foreign teachers work in the Faculty.
